Coralife에서 수류펌프가 새로 나왔습니다.
마치 생긴것이 코랄리아의 펌프와 유사하네요. 조금 특이한 점이 있다면 자석 형식이 아니라 네비게이션등을 유리에 부착할 때 사용하는 것을 활용합니다. 이런 suction cup을 사용하는것은 가격적인 공격성을 띄기 위해서가 아닌가 하는 의견이네요. 코랄리아에 경쟁력이 있으려면 일단 새로운 아이디어도 좋지만 가격을 가지고도 가능할 테니까요. 4,7,14와트의 3가지 모델이 출시되었습니다.
거의 유사하게 생긴 Newave라는 제품이 이태리에서 만들어져 유럽시장에 퍼져있는 가운데 코랄라이프는 중국에서 몰딩을 하여 미국시장에 내놓았습니다.

Coralife has new powerheads to compete with the likes of Hydor’s Koralia water pump. Coralife has 3 different models CP750, CP1300, and CP2900 with the last number showing how many gallons per hour (GPH) the pump push out. These pumps are attached to the aquarium by suction cups, which is poor considering magnet is now the norm in prop styled water movers. However, because they are targeted to compete with the Koralia’s these pumps should start out in the $30 range and top out at the upper $70 range. These have already started to ship to local retailers inside the United States. These pumps are identical to the NeWave water pump that is made in Italy for the European market (and they even follow the same numbering convention) but knowing Coralife these water pumps probably get their mold filled in China. 맥시젯 펌프로 유명한 아쿠아리움 시스템즈에서 새로운 형태의 수류펌프를 선보일 모양입니다. 아직 미국에는 추시가 되지 않은 것 같고요. 사진의 것은 1000모델이라고 하는데 라인중 가장 작은 모델이라고 합니다. 2.5와트정도의 전력으로 750-1400 lph 만큼 동작한다고 하는데 과연 그럴런지는 확인이 필요할 것 같습니다.
조금 재밌는점은 어항에서의 거치인데요. 확실치는 않으나 보면 우리의 네비게이션을 붙일때 사용하는 형식의 압착 고무를 사용하는 것이 아닌가 싶습니다. 만약 그렇다면 잘 붙을런지는 미지수입니다만....
